Using my Card Internationally

If you're planning to travel internationally, to help protect your account our partner bank requires a travel notice in order to make purchases on your Qapital Visa® Debit Card during your trip. Please reach out to our support team through the app or via email at and let us know your destination, departure date and return date. Then, we’ll ask our partner bank to put a travel notice on your account.

International fees vary depending on the merchant, but they’re usually between 0%-3%.*


If your card does get locked for some reason, you may be contacted by SHAZAM Falcon® to authorize the charges. This is our third party card processor who handles fraud protection. If you don’t hear from them right away, you can contact SHAZAM Falcon® by phone at 855-219-5399 or 866-508-2693. Once you give the okay, your card will be unlocked. For security reasons only the account holder can authorize charges that are flagged as suspicious. 


*Qapital does not charge foreign transaction fees on purchases you make abroad with your Qapital Visa® Debit Card, however Visa® and international vendors sometimes do. Please note that if you use your Qapital Visa® Debit Card internationally, Visa® may include an International Service Assessment (ISA) fee of up to 1% of the total transaction amount.
